Directions for use
  • 1. Unpack all parts of the test kit and place them on a flat surface. Have a timer on hand. Secure the buffer tube in its designated spot on the packaging and open the top lid.
  • 2. Push down the safety tab on the lancet to activate it.
  • 3. Hold your dog firmly, lift the upper lip, and press the lancet device firmly against the inner lip horizontally. Press the release button. If needed, use the spare lancet for a sufficient blood sample.
  • 4. When a full droplet of blood appears, use the sample swab until it is fully red and no longer absorbs blood.
  • 5. Place the sample swab into the buffer liquid, set a timer for 1 minute, and roll the swab in the liquid for 3-5 rounds.
  • 6. Break off the swab at the pre-cut point against the tube's side and close the top lid securely.
  • 7. After 1 minute, turn the buffer tube upside down and open the smaller lid.
  • 8. Turn the buffer tube upright, hold it vertically, and drop 2 drops of the sample into the test cassette's sample hole.
  • 9. Leave the test undisturbed on a flat surface and set your timer for 10 minutes.
  • 10. Read the test result 10-15 minutes after applying the sample.

How To Read Results:

    • ___ When reading the Bellylabs Dog Pregnancy Test, check for results between 10-15 minutes. A positive result will show both Test (T) and Control (C) lines, while a negative result will only show the Control (C) line. If no lines or only the Test (T) line appears, the test is invalid and needs to be redone. Note that the intensity of the lines doesn't impact the test's accuracy, and results read after 15 minutes might not be reliable.

Interpretation of Results:

    • ___ When using the Bellylabs Dog Pregnancy Test, a positive result confirms pregnancy, and you should contact a veterinarian to monitor your dog's health. A negative result may mean your dog is not pregnant, experiencing pseudopregnancy, or that the test was done too early. It's advisable to retest after one week if you're unsure. Testing should ideally occur at least 28 days post-ovulation. Be aware that false positives can result from certain medical conditions or residual relaxin hormone after foetal loss.

It's suggested to reach out to a veterinarian after a positive result. They can evaluate the pregnancy and check the number and health of the fetuses via ultrasound or x-ray.
