Seresto is a long-lasting flea and tick collar impregnated with imidacloprid and flumethrin, providing up to eight months of continuous protection. The collar releases active ingredients in low concentrations across the dog's coat and skin, killing and repelling fleas, ticks, lice, and mites on contact. Seresto is suitable for puppies from eight weeks of age (weighing at least 2 kg) and offers a “fit-and-forget” approach, eliminating the need for monthly topical or oral treatments.
Eight months of continuous protection: Delivers sustained efficacy against fleas and ticks, reducing treatment frequency. Broad-spectrum control: Kills and repels fleas, ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor variabilis), lice, and mites (Sarcoptes scabiei). Water-resistant: Effective even after swimming or bathing; check collar monthly and replace if damaged. No spot-on residues: Avoids greasy spots or residue on skin and fur, making it convenient for owners and dogs.
Remove Seresto from packaging and fasten around the dog's neck. Ensure a snug fit—two-finger width between collar and neck is ideal. Cut off any excess length using scissors; keep the cut portion away from children or other pets. Leave the collar continuously in place for eight months—do not remove for bathing or swimming. Replace the collar after eight months or if it becomes damaged. Monitor for wear and tear monthly—replace immediately if frayed or broken. Store unused collars in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Seresto is generally well tolerated; mild side effects—such as local hair loss, erythema, or pruritus at the collar site—may occur transiently. Avoid contact with the collar contents—wash hands after handling. Do not use on puppies younger than eight weeks or weighing less than 2 kg. Pregnant and lactating bitches can be treated, but consult your veterinarian first. Keep the collar away from children—small parts pose a choking hazard. Avoid simultaneous use of other topical insecticides to prevent cumulative toxicity. In case of severe irritation or systemic reactions (tremors, incoordination), remove the collar and contact a veterinarian immediately.
