Ingredients:

• Ivermectin
• Pyrantel

How to Use:

1. Give Heartgard Plus to your dog orally every month.
2. Ensure the dosage is at least 6 mcg of ivermectin per kilogram of body weight.
3. Additionally, administer 5 mg of pyrantel (as pamoate salt) per kg of body weight.
4. Following this dosing schedule prevents heartworm disease and manages ascarids and hookworms.

• Heartgard Plus is recommended for dogs as young as 6 weeks.

• For dogs weighing over 45kg, use the correct combination of chewables.

Safety Precautions:

• Prior to starting Heartgard Plus, conduct tests to confirm the absence of existing heartworm infection in all dogs.
• Keep in mind that Heartgard Plus doesn't work against adult D. immitis, so infected dogs require separate treatment.
• Ensure infected dogs are treated to eliminate adult heartworms and microfilariae before initiating Heartgard Plus.
• Although some microfilariae may be impacted by ivermectin in Heartgard Plus, it doesn't fully clear microfilariae.
• Note the possibility of mild hypersensitivity reactions, such as transient diarrhea, in some dogs following treatment.
