Directions for use
  • - Prepare the Mix: Combine 1.1kg of powder with 9 litres of warm, pre-boiled water to make 10 litres of milk.

  • - Stir Well: Ensure the powder is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.

  • - Let it Rest: Allow the solution to stand for 2 minutes to ensure thorough absorption.

  • - Warm the Milk: Heat to approximately 35 C (95 F) before feeding.

  • - Feed the Foal:

      • - First Week: Feed every 2 hours.

      • - Week 2: Reduce to every 4 hours.

      • - Week 4: Feed every 6 hours.

  • - Feeding Guide:

    • - Horse breeds differ in their birth weights and growth speeds. For example, a common light breed foal is born at around 50 kg and typically gains 1.5kg per day during hand-rearing.

    • - Due to the difficulty in monitoring precise weight, feed amounts should be estimated according to the foal's age.

  • - Feeding Methods: Start with a bottle and lamb's teat; foals can be trained to use a bucket. If self-feeding, offer cold milk to reduce bacteria.

  • - Hydration: Always provide fresh drinking water and pre-boiled water between feedings in hot weather.

  • - Storage: Refrigerate unused milk for up to 24 hours or freeze for up to 2 weeks. Always use freshly prepared milk for each feeding.

  • - Clean Up: Clean the foal's mouth and face after feeding, discard leftover milk, and thoroughly clean feeding equipment.

  • - Consult an Expert: Seek advice from a veterinarian or experienced breeder for specific foal care and husbandry guidance.
