Directions for use
  • 1. Measure and Prepare:

    • - Select the appropriate amount of Wombaroo Insectivore Rearing Mix based on your bird's feeding needs and species.

  • 2. Feeding Guide:

    • Meat Mix:

      • - Combine 10g (1 level scoop) of powder with 20g of minced meat or fish.

      • - Add water if needed to moisten.

      • - Best for magpies, ravens, kookaburras, frogmouths, raptors, and seabirds.

    • Egg Mix:

      • - Mix 20g (2 level scoops) of powder with 1 large hard-boiled egg.

      • - Mash the egg and gradually incorporate the powder to achieve a crumbly consistency.

      • - Ideal for small insectivores, waders, or orphaned chicks.

      • - Mix in live insects to stimulate feeding.

    • Moist Pellets:

      • - Mix 10g (2 level scoops) of powder with 12mL of warm water.

      • - Blend until it reaches a putty-like texture, then form pellets.

      • - Provide extra water when offering pellets.

      • - Perfect for rearing orphan magpies, ravens, kookaburras, or frogmouths.

    • Liquid Slurry:

      • - Blend 10g (1 level scoop) of powder with 15mL of warm water.

      • - Let the mixture stand for 2 minutes to thicken.

      • - Serve at around 30 C using a spoon, syringe, or tube.

      • - Suitable for sick birds or orphaned altricial chicks needing force-feeding.

  • 3. Storage:

    • - Refrigerate prepared food for up to 1 day or freeze for up to 2 weeks.

  • 4. Feeding Tips:

    • - Do not add extra supplements to the diet.

    • - Use high-quality meat as the base for meat mixes.
