Simparica Trio is a monthly chewable tablet combining sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel to protect dogs from fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal worms. Sarolaner kills fleas and ticks rapidly, moxidectin prevents heartworm and treats certain mites, and pyrantel treats roundworms and hookworms. Approved for puppies from eight weeks of age (weighing at least 1.25 kg), Simparica Trio offers comprehensive protection in one palatable chew, reducing the need for multiple products.
Rapid flea and tick kill: Sarolaner begins eliminating fleas within 3 hours and ticks within 8 hours. Heartworm prevention: Moxidectin eliminates immature Dirofilaria immitis larvae, preventing adult heartworm disease. Nematode control: Pyrantel treats roundworms (Toxocara canis) and hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum). Once-monthly convenience: One chew addresses multiple parasite threats—internal and external—in a single dose. Waterproof efficacy: Oral administration remains effective regardless of bathing or swimming.
Administer Simparica Trio based on body weight:
Simparica Trio is generally well tolerated; mild side effects—such as vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy, or pruritus—are uncommon and transient. Use caution in dogs with a history of seizures, as sarolaner and moxidectin may lower the seizure threshold in predisposed breeds. Do not use in puppies younger than eight weeks or weighing less than 1.25 kg. Pregnant and lactating bitches can receive Simparica Trio under veterinary guidance. Avoid concurrent administration of other isoxazoline or moxidectin-containing products. Keep chews out of reach of children and other pets. In case of suspected overdose or severe reaction, contact a veterinarian immediately. Annual heartworm testing is mandatory prior to reinitiating Simparica Trio each year.
