Nexgard Spectra Wormer For Dogs

The Nexgard Spectra wormer for dogs is a beef-flavored chewable that is used for the treatment of fleas, ticks, and worms. There are three types of ticks that can be treated with this product: Paralysis ticks, Bush ticks, and Brown Dog ticks. The monthly treatment is also effective in preventing heartworms in dogs, so you don't need to administer a heartworm treatment separately for dogs when administering this monthly treatment. Chewable tablets are available in order to make the dosage as easy as possible for patients. There are several types of dog wormers currently available on the market, but Nexgard Spectra is a broad-spectrum product that works well against zoonotic hookworms such as Ancylostoma ceylanicum as well as other gut worms such as whipworms and roundworms. It has been proven that oral treatment for gastrointestinal nematodes is effective. Besides treating and controlling demodectic mange and sarcoptic mange on dogs, NexGard Spectra is also effective at treating and controlling ear mites and mange on cats. NexGard Spectra is a highly palatable beef-flavored chew that your dog will love, making it a great alternative to some flea or worming tablets that can sometimes be difficult to administer to dogs.  Read more about The Best Worming Treatment For Dogs

How does it work?

There are two active ingredients in Nexgard Spectra, including Afoxolaner and Milbemycin Oxime. It is known that afoxolaner is an ingredient that acts as an ectoparasiticide, which means that it kills external parasites such as fleas, ticks and mites. When applied to dogs, Afoxolaner kills fleas before they lay eggs and is helpful in reducing the amount of contamination in that area. As a tick treatment, Afoxolaner is also highly effective in treating paralysis ticks, bush ticks, and brown dog ticks in dogs. As an endoparasiticide, Milbemycin Oxime is the other ingredient in the cocktail. As a result, it kills parasites that are found inside dogs, such as parasite like worms. In terms of roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms, it provides effective protection against them. As a result of the chewable treatment, signals are disrupted in the nervous systems of parasites in such a way that the parasites are paralyzed and eliminated from the body. This Nexgard Spectra treatment ensures the protection of your pet against heartworms, fleas, ticks, and intestinal worms on a monthly basis.
